Dungeness Ruins

Dungeness Ruins resides on Cumberland Island off the coast of Georgia. Dungeness is a historic ruined mansion that was the home of several families significant in American history. What you see in this book is the home at the time of The Carnegies. Includes a poem written about Dungeness by L. G. W. Benjamin. Now the home and most of the island is part of the National Park system.

The images are Polaroid emulsion transfers (the whole emulsion, not just the dye is transferred), the binding is brass wire edge binding. The brown paper is a real tactile experience, even when you touch it you won't believe, it feels like fine suede, but it is paper! Dungeness Ruins comes in a matching clamshell case. Book size is 6.5" x 6.5". This is a one-of-a-kind book handcrafted by Jill Timm.

Price $550.
